Killers Concert!
current mood: bouncy
So this is the same thing I put on TKC but I don't feel like typing it again. *copy and paste*
Last night was so awesome! My very first Killers concert! I'm extremely sleep deprived but I'll get this out.
We got there at about 7 and went and got our t-shirts (red, white, and blue) and went to go find our seats. We were in the balcony 2nd row right in the middle. The Silver Beats were good, and that story about his dad was really sweet! ![]()
I really liked watching them set up the stage for The Killers, Brandon's keyboard is way smaller than I thought it was. They didn't do the intro thing, with the curtain. They also didn't have the Sam's Town sign up, but they played that music..I forget who it's by but no one on here knew for a while then someone finally found out...
Anyway when they came on at first I was like Oh! look there they are! and I wasn't that excited, but then it hit me that they were really about 30-40 feet in front of me (the Ryman is tiny) and I started screaming along with everyone else.
I've watched them preform on tv and on here but there is really no way to describe how I felt watching them. I sang (screamed) every word and was dancing around like a crazy person. I loved it! Uncle Jonny and For Reasons Unknown are great songs, but I was never crazy about them you know? But Uncle Jonny was so great! It was even pretty, a word I would have never used to describe that song before... Brandon messed up on Jenny, when he was supposed to sing, 'I know my rights...' he started back with 'We took a walk...' at first I thought I had messed up singing and when I looked over at Dave he was giving Brandon a weird look and then Brandon looked really embarassed. I was still a great preformance, and I swear he looked right at me during the 'come on oh come on' part.
The songs that really stuck out for me were This River Is Wild, the 'I could stay here all night' line meant a lot to me right then
and when the song slows down in the middle he sounded so...vulnerable, during the 'or should I just get along with myself?' part
, The end of Bling
, seeing Mr. Brightside live, and during My List I thought the balcony was going to fall down.
I have to say this last thing and then I'll be done. I've always thought Brandon's moves looked...odd... but live I don't know if they just worked...or if I was so into it I didn't care.
Again, I had a great time and I really can't put into words what it was like actually seeing them live.
